MATIERE PREMIERE is an independent French perfume house founded by perfumer Aurélien Guichard. The maison's philosophy is based on a clear principle: an exceptional natural raw material is placed at the heart of every creation in an exceptionally high dosage, forming the fragrance's unmistakable signature.
Aurélien Guichard combines traditional French perfumery with a modern, direct, and minimalist fragrance language. Particularly exceptional is their own organic cultivation of Centifolia roses, tuberose, and lavandin in the Grasse region, the raw materials of which are used for Radical Rose, French Flower, and Metal Lavender, among others.
